Pastoral Care

Children are in the care of staff during term-time Monday-Friday, from 8.45am until dismissal at 3.25pm. (33 Hours and 20 Minutes each week)

Please inform the school in writing if you wish your child to leave school premises during school hours. To help foster independence when the children reach the junior stage, we ask that parents leave their children at the door and let them go into the classroom themselves.

If your child falls ill during the day, parents will be contacted and asked to collect your child. In no circumstances is a child sent home unescorted by an adult. It is very important that school has a list of emergency contacts for each child.

On the rare occasions when your child has been prescribed medicine by the doctor which needs to be administered at school, please make an arrangement to come into school and give it yourself. If you wish a member of staff  to administer the medicine there is a form authorising this available in school. Medicines need to be handed in to Mrs Gill in the school office. Children should never be in possession of any medicines in school.
